About Me

Born and raised in New York, living in one of the greatest cities in the world was not only a dream, but also inevitable. I graduated from URI, in a college beach town far from the hustle and bustle. It was somewhat of a honeymoon before real life began. I met people who I had no idea would impact my life to the extent they did, or that they'd be a part of my life still, as we spread across the map.

Real life hit hard in New York, in the best way possible. I found an apartment on the East River which I've spent 5 years in, made even more friends than I can handle, started a career in sales at the largest local business app, and moved on to now handling business development and marketing initiatives at a public relations firm. "Adulting," that's what they call it these days, is something that challenges me every single day and yet I still love everything about it. I  believe that I truly peaked, or am living my prime life, nearly 8 years post graduate. And just when I thought that was it for me, I realized I wanted more.

Travel has not only been a thing I like to do, or Instagram proof that I am allowed to consider myself a part of this millennial generation, but its something I fell head over heals and completely in love with. I'm always asked, "why don't you have a boyfriend?" or "when are you going to settle down?" and my response is always, when someone else can steal my heart the way seeing the world did and still does.

Traveling is something i'll make time for throughout my life, but currently I'm fully committed to. Embarking on Remote Year is not only the perfect adventure for me, but it's something that is going to change my life in so many ways that I can't even begin to predict. It will be hard to leave my loving and traditional Italian family, but it's them I thank for raising me to become someone who stops at nothing until I've lived out my dreams. I've never felt that something was more right for me in my life than this, and I don't doubt for a second that it will be. For the first time however, and from a mild control-freak to a reader, I am excited for the unknown.
